Fix your docs.

Bad docs cost money. In support tickets, churned users, and delayed launches.

For over a decade, I've been fixing that across cybersecurity, capital markets, e-commerce, and digital marketing.

I'm Vlad Falon. If you're here, your docs need work.

About

Documentation for complex platforms must work for various readers, from end users who just need to get something done to engineers integrating a new API. Too often, docs are written for one audience and leave everyone else behind. I've spent my career making sure that doesn't happen.

Currently, I lead documentation and content strategy for Experience Platform at Adobe, working with product, engineering, and UX so every feature ships content-ready. That means owning the content strategy, setting the quality bar, and making sure everything that ships meets it.

The goal is better content, not just more of it. Here's an example.

Leading documentation and content strategy for Adobe Experience Platform. I set the priorities, shape the standards, and make sure product docs, UX copy, and tutorials are ready when features ship.

  • Representing documentation in cross-team planning and aligning with Adobe doc leads on standards, tooling, and contribution models
  • Leading AI integration into the docs workflow, automating release notes and incorporating AI into daily processes
  • Working with Product and UX to shape interface copy and the broader content experience, not just the docs
  • Mentoring writers across the team and defining how we approach quality, not just output
Principal Technical WriterExperience Platform
Feb 2023 – May 2025

Grew from Destinations into a broader portfolio of Experience Platform capabilities, including Destinations SDK and Web SDK, and took the lead on documentation strategy across all of it.

  • Served as content lead on major platform launches, keeping Product, Engineering, UX, and partner teams aligned
  • Standardized terminology, content patterns, and structure across Destinations and SDK docs so cross-surface scenarios felt cohesive
  • Built out docs-as-code workflows and contribution guidelines; coached writers and SMEs on using them effectively
Senior Technical WriterExperience Platform
Jan 2020 – Feb 2023

Wrote and maintained documentation for Experience Platform Destinations and the Activation Service: end-to-end flows, integration walkthroughs, and API references for marketers and developers.

  • Redesigned the Destinations help navigation based on customer and support feedback, making it easier to find the right content fast
  • Built UI tutorials with Product and UX so customers could configure and troubleshoot without routing to an SME
Senior Technical WriterAudience Manager
Jun 2018 – Feb 2023

Covered Audience Manager documentation across a period of active feature development: integrations, APIs, admin workflows, and release-by-release updates.

  • Migrated the entire help system from XML/DITA to docs-as-code (Markdown + GitHub), cutting deployment time and opening contributions to non-writers
  • Worked with UI/UX on interface copy and fed usability observations back into the product as well as the docs
